Summer Isn’t Over: Making the Most of the Midsummer Crunch

Hey, What’s Up! It’s Tommy. Summer isn’t over, and neither is our chance to make the most of it. In this episode, I’m checking in for a midsummer reset, sharing simple ways we’ve been intentional with our time, and giving an exciting update about our experience with Maximum Potential and what’s ahead for Wyatt.
Too often, we let the fast pace of life or the lure of “what’s next” pull us out of the moment. But today, I’m encouraging you to slow down, look around, and remember: we still have time to create memories, connect with our families, and support our kids in meaningful ways.
I also discuss our upcoming trip to the Perfect Storm conference, where my wife will share Wyatt’s progress, thanks to the team at Maximum Potential. Plus, I touch on my healing journey, how I’ve battled stomach issues without medication, and why I believe so strongly in looking beyond conventional approaches, especially when it comes to our kids’ health.
Whether it’s sprinklers in the backyard, a four-wheeler ride, or just sitting by a campfire, summer’s got a lot left to give. Let’s make it count.
Key Takeaways
- Summer is not over: Don’t let the 4th of July trick you into fast-forwarding to fall. There’s still time for fun, memories, and being present.
- Intentional time beats extravagant plans: Your kids don’t need Disney—they need you. Sprinklers, squirt guns, and time in the yard go a long way.
- Midlife mindset shift: If it doesn’t impact your salvation, maybe it’s not as big a deal. Perspective helps prioritize what truly matters.
- Maximum Potential works: Tommy shares personal stories of healing—for Wyatt, for his daughter, and even for himself—with insights into vagus nerve health, chiropractic care, and natural regulation.
- A year of podcasting! Tommy’s almost at episode 52 and reflects on the power of consistency and pushing through mental roadblocks.
